Anne & Anichi have both grown up in South America and came in touch with salsa at very young age. Their dancing has been influenced by many dance styles. Every year, Anne & Anichi spend several months in Cuba to take classes in Afrocuban dances at the Conjunto Folclorico Nacional de Cuba. In addition, they spent some time in New York to gain inspiration from diverse salsa-masters as Eddie Torres, Frankie Martinez and Franklin Diaz.
In 2006 they lived for 7 months in Milan to give classes and performances. In April 2007, they won the Salsa Opens in Karlsruhe. In October the same year, they achieved the 1st place at the European Salsa Championships in England. This qualified them for participation at the World Championships in Orlando, Florida and made them one of the Top Ten in the World.
The national as well as international audience are stoked by Anne’s and Anichi’s impressive shows. AYA are among the most sought-after salsa instructors and dancers in Europe and present at almost all big congresses. Theyr open-minded personality, excellent didactics, musicality and multilingualism are characteristic for their workshops
